Seriously in love with the locations, styling and overall look of this spring inspired shoot with Claudia Bakehouse. Her effortless looks are courtesy of MUA Michael Fels and stylist Sarah D'Arcey. Can't wait to share more... coming soon to magazine near you. <3
the final edit of this low-key shoot will be published in Elegant Magazine later this month; in the meantime, here are some of the raw, "barely" edited shots from my session with the beautiful Kayli.
final image release coming very soon...
New work published in Elléments Magazine's Rock and Roll issue this month!
Trouble in Fremont was shot on location in Las Vegas, Fremont District (aka Old Vegas) using only the available neon and street lights of the neighbourhood. Good thing Vegas is a "bright lights" city and cranking up the ISO on my camera wasn't a huge deal.
BONUS POINTS: We saw some interesting things shooting in this area... including the "biggest cock in Vegas"! His words, not mine LMAO!

My husband and I built a beautiful home from late 2015 into mid-2016 and it's become a dream home not only because the design and beauty of it, it's a dream home / studio for photography. With huge windows and high ceilings, the natural light spilling into the space is gorgeous. It's a dream to shoot in when the weather is less than cooperative (read: deep-freeze conditions in Vancouver!)
Here are a few recent images capture at home
Since I'm working from my home studio more often than not these days, my dates and hours for bookings are more flexible than before. I've opened up my schedule a bit more than usual and wanted to let you know that if you're looking for new headshots / portraits, please give me a call or email. I'd love to work with you.
Happy New Year :)
I have always felt that part of my role as a photographer is to work with and nurture new, young talent. Today was one of those shoots...
This new, young and fresh face is all of 15-16yrs old. So today we kept the look fresh, young and casual, ensuring the model looked age appropriate and professional.
Many thanks to Mom Anne for supervising (I cannot stress enough that young models NEED to bring a guardian to all photoshoots with unfamiliar photographers) and to my awesome MUA Michael Fels.
Here are a few sneak peeks from the session today and good luck at Faces West!

It's been a busy weekend for new work to be released! Two publications in POD (print-on-demand) magazines dropped on August 13 and include a 16-page editorial in ASTOUND Magazine and a 8-page layout in PHILOCALY Magazine.
Many thanks go to the stellar teams I worked with on these shoots. As always, it takes a village ;)
Entitled SIMPLE THINGS, the first editorial is a denim and casual wear inspired set featuring two absolutely beautiful Vancouver models.
